Potato Leek Soup

What

• leek (approx 3 large ones)
• potatoes of the same amount
• butter or bacon
• garlic
• bouillon cube or stock
• white pepper
• nutmeg
• cream

A stick blender is optional.

How

1. Render the bacon on olive oil. Start with butter and oil if there’s no bacon
2. Chop up the leak and potatoes, add them to the pot
3. Add water, garlic, a bouillon cube, salt, white pepper and nutmeg
4. Simmer until the potatoes are soft
5. Blend
6. Optionally add heavy cream, and bring it up to a boil again
